It was Saturday, Valentine's Day morning and also his 34th birthday. We had gotten up around 10 and he left to get us breakfast at Ricky Bobby's deli, as usual. He came back and we ate breakfast in bed and then he said he was gonna give me my V-day presents. He went downstairs and told me to close my eyes, so I did and when I opened them he handed me a pink stuffed bear that said I love you on it and a card. Then he went back downstairs and said the same thing to me again...Close your eyes...so i closed my eyes and this time when I opened them he was down on one knee at the side of the bed with a box open and the ring inside, and said "Will you marry me?" I was shocked and covered my face with my hands and was saying OMG OMG OMG and then finally said YES of course!! I had known that it would happen someday but never thought v-day esp cause it was HIS bday..i guess that was the trick ;) That night we celebrated his birthday and our engagement at our favorite restaurant Gasho of Japan.
